Station Description
Limited range Crump profile weir, 8m wide.
Theoretical rating. Low modular limit. Drowns well before QMED so high flows
are of limited precision. Magnitude of August 2002 flood under review, but
undoubtedly exceptional - triggered by > 100mm storm. Loss of water
underground to the adjacent R. Dove (27042) has significant impact on summer
baseflow.Catchment Description
Geology:
Jurassic L'st, shales and s'sts. Rural catchment with moorland headwaters.
Contains significant areas of forestry.Factors
