Flow Duration Curve for Gauged Daily Flows

Station Description

Limited range Crump profile weir, 8m wide. Theoretical rating. Low modular limit. Drowns well before QMED so high flows are of limited precision. Magnitude of August 2002 flood under review, but undoubtedly exceptional - triggered by > 100mm storm. Loss of water underground to the adjacent R. Dove (27042) has significant impact on summer baseflow.

Catchment Description

Geology: Jurassic L'st, shales and s'sts. Rural catchment with moorland headwaters. Contains significant areas of forestry.
