Station Description

Crump profile Flat V weir, 6.57m wide at vee full, in a trapezoidal channel. High flows gauged from u/s road bridge. Problems with weed growth. Bypassing at high flows. Substantial imports enter river from WRW. Superseded by South Wigston (28086).

Catchment Description

Predominantly rural catchment, gauged in southern outskirts of Leicester. Flat alluvium filled valleys cut into Lower Lias sediments which are widely covered with Boulder Clay.
