Station Description
Velocity-area station utilising a series of
gravel traps as a control for low and medium flows only. Station converted to a
level-only site in 2001.Catchment Description
Geology: impermeable Ordovician mudstones and shales with volcanics
which provide rapid runoff rates and low baseflows. Mostly rough grazing, with
15% woodland.Factors Affecting Runoff
- Natural to within 10% at the 95 percentile flow.
